Growing up in a large, blended family with 15 grandparents, I learned early on the value of connection, legacy, and the stories that shape us. Each grandparent brought their own wisdom, traditions, and love, weaving a tapestry of life that taught me the importance of honoring every individual's journey.
Life’s fragility became profoundly real to me through my own experiences with loss and resilience. Losing my father was a heartbreak that shaped my understanding of grief. As a cancer survivor and as someone supporting my husband through his incurable cancer diagnosis, I have witnessed the complexities of life’s battles and the beauty of unwavering hope. Facing a complicated pregnancy showed me the strength required during life’s pivotal transitions, and even the loss of a cherished pet reminded me of the depth of our emotional connections to those we hold dear.
These moments—each deeply personal—have led me to embrace life’s transitions with grace and compassion. They are the foundation of my commitment to providing empathetic, holistic care as an end-of-life doula. Through Opaline Care, I aim to offer a comforting presence and meaningful support to individuals and their families, empowering them to find peace, connection, and dignity in life’s final chapter.
My mission is rooted in honoring the legacy of every individual and helping families navigate the profound moments of loss and love. Through grief, resilience, and reverence, Opaline Care celebrates the beauty of life and the sacredness of its closing.
